11 Easy & Cute Cactus Drawings (and they're great for colouring too)

Hey!

I'm back with some more easy drawing ideas.

This time it is Cactuses.

I enjoy drawing these Kawaii cactus plants because the shapes are really simple.

All you need to get started is to draw a slightly oval/round shape and you are good to go.

Don't overthink it.

You'll notice that my Cactus plants are basic.

Let's start simple with this little guy.

I gave him little round arms but he doesn't even need those tbh.

I thought the top-not with sticks going through it went perfectly well with the Kawaii face.

Drawing two arms bent up like this made this Cactus look like she was saying "Yaaaaaaaay".

TIP: Experiment with drawing the arms in different positions

When I first met my wife she had a Cactus plant like this, lots of little 'stems' all growing like a little happy family.

TIP: The fun thing here was drawing the same shapes over and over, it helped me feel more confident.

Once you have the basic Cactus shapes down, it becomes an exercise in drawing different facial expressions.

TIP: Try this small "dot" mouth with the eyebrows in different angles, you would be surprised how many facial expressions you can get.

When I think of a Cactus shape, this is the one that springs to mind.

The fun thing is moving the arms to different levels.

I just love how happy this Cactus looks.

That comes down to his mouth with that little bit of white showing his tongue.

I couldn't not have a simple round cactus winking now could I?!

I love drawing these moustaches.

TIP: Replacing the mouth with facial hair can be a quick and easy way to give your cactus a new character.

I don't know what it is about Kawaii faces BUT when you put them onto a few things like these cactuses I just LOVE it!

He is as sad as me that this post is over.

TIP: When drawing crying eyes, don't forget to include the white dots on the eyes to make them look wet with tears.
